Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our pasta products on an automated packaging line. Your responsibilities will include quality checks, barcode verification, and assisting with various tasks on the production floor.

• Operate and monitor automated packaging line to ensure quality standards.
• Pull products off the line and check the quality of the boxing.
• Verify the accuracy of barcodes on packaging.
• Assist operators with cleanup and breakdown of cartons and cases.
• Transport cartons and cardboard to the compactor for recycling.
• Ensure all area totes are in place and used correctly.
• Relieve other packaging operators during break times.

• Experience in packaging, general production, or manufacturing.
• Ability to perform quality checks and maintain production standards.
• General labor and assembly skills.
• Ability to work efficiently on a production line.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in production or food manufacturing is preferred.
• General working knowledge of computers is preferred.
• Some mechanical knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and remain on feet for the entire shift.

Work on a rotating shift schedule of 7am to 7pm, with a pattern of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, and 2 days off. The environment is dynamic and involves standing for long periods while operating machinery and handling products.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ames,IA.

This position is anticipated to close on Feb 9, 2026.
