This is an onsite role and will be part of our Ames Manufacturing Support Team in our Ames, IA location.
The role is for 2nd Shift (2pm - 12:00am CT), Monday through Thursday.

In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Manufacture bulk solutions per existing formularies.
- Perform production controls and adjust bulk reagents to meet product specifications.
- Release conforming materials to processing, packaging, or stock in a timely manner.
- Operate all manufacturing equipment in a safe and productive manner and maintain equipment in proper working condition.
- Maintain clean production and lab areas.
- Follow a production schedule and communicate with leadership and down-stream pack lines when roadblocks occur.
- Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, safe transportation and handling of bulk chemicals, hand tool safety, lock-out-tag-out, and proper storage of tools, etc. Comply with good housekeeping policies.
- Keep accurate production and inventory records; follow kanban process.
- Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions (LOTS, scrap, Oracle, Kanban).
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- A minimum of 1 year of completed college chemistry with lab is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of scientific production, process, or lab technician experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree with no experience.
- Strong laboratory technique.
- Strong analytical technique (use of volumetric glassware to make standard solutions, perform dilutions, and perform titrations).
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
