Manufacturing ​/ Production Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the biotechnology and veterinary biologicals industry, is seeking a Technician to join their team. As a Technician, you will be part of the production support team, contributing to the manufacturing of vital veterinary vaccines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technician

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $20

Shift: 7am-4:30 PM Mon-Thurs

What's the Job?

• Perform basic warehousing and material handling activities such as unloading trucks, material movements, order fulfillment, and cycle counts.
• Must be able to work in laboratory as well, training provided
• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Pick and put away products efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare materials for shipping and operate pallet jacks safely.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or similar
• Lab or aseptic technique experience
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, and documentation practices

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Familiarity with laboratory or manufacturing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and good mathematical abilities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and wear required PPE in an aseptic environment.
