Production Operations Technician
We are seeking a skilled Production Operations Technician to perform a variety of manufacturing tasks including parts coordination, assembly, and testing using manual and automatic equipment. Experience in assembly or production is highly valued. Candidates with at least 6 months of prior manufacturing experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform assembly of unit assemblies and complex subassemblies according to detailed work process instructions.
- Install and operate manual and automatic manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out testing and quality inspections to verify proper function and ensure assemblies meet specifications.
- Utilize power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, drills, and torque guns, to secure components.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve production issues and maintain workflow across multiple assembly lines.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of production or assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, including pneumatic tools and drills.
- Experience with reading and understanding written work instructions and production documentation.
- Knowledgeable in basic mechanical aptitude and understanding assembly processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with parts that may be coated in oil.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to work different shifts as needed.
- Possession of steel-toed boots as required by the safety-focused dress code.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large, climate-controlled facility with structured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift options. You will be assigned to an assembly group, working at a steady pace to meet production goals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMES, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
