Reporting to the Area Manager, the Operator II, Powders is responsible for playing a crucial role in our manufacturing process, directly contributing to the production of high-quality products that support our global mission. You will be responsible for manufacturing products according to work orders or other build signals while adhering to defined work instructions.

This position is part of the Hach - Operations/Plant Management located in Ames, IA and will be onsite.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Use Oracle to complete material movements, work order transactions, and scrap entry.
• Build products to specifications by gathering materials, setting up equipment, and following standard work.
• Maintain product quality through proper inspections, documentation, and traceability.
• Operate label printers, production equipment, and multiple operations as needed.
• Follow all safety policies, perform basic troubleshooting, and complete routine equipment checks.
• Participate in daily team meetings.
• Perform cycle counting and inventory tasks while keeping material storage organized.
• Communicate with the Planner, Lead, and Manager to prioritize work and meet demand.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 1-year applicable production experience preferred.
• 1-year mechanical experience or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to learn machine operations (including set up and changeover), and/or kitting.
• Some areas will require the ability to work with manual and/or power equipment.
