Express Employment Professionals of Ames, IA has partnered with a company in the Ames area that is seeking a Kitter to join their team! The main responsibilities are to assemble products using pneumatic (air) and manual hand tools. Candidates must be able to stand, sit, bend for the duration of the shift. Some light-medium lifting may be involved. This is a long-term, full-time position starting at $18/hr.

Environment:

• This is a 2nd shift schedule, Monday-Thursday 11:00am-9:00pm
• Candidate must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with various departments

Duties:

• Work with a team to assemble entire products or components based on pre-assembled examples or written/verbal instructions
• Rotate through tasks for specific production processes
• Conduct quality inspections on products and parts
• Prepare finished products for shipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Skills/Experience Needed:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields
• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to work well in teams and individually
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
