About Bio Life Plasma ServicesEvery day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high‑quality plasma you collect will become life‑changing medicines. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
About the Role- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions according to SOPs, developing Center Physician standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and provide guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, referring to EHS guidelines.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate degree from a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.
- Current licensure or certification in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN).
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
