Postdoctoral Research Associate – Organic Chemistry & Catalysis
Appointment TypePost Doc/Trainee, one-year appointment with possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.
Summary of Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe postdoctoral research associate will work in the laboratory of Prof. Yan Zhao in the Department of Chemistry at Iowa State University. The successful candidate will design and synthesize functional polymeric nanoparticles that function as artificial enzymes.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting experimental research in organic chemistry and catalysis
- Analyzing data
- Preparing manuscripts
- Contributing to ongoing projects within the group
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry
- Strong skills in organic synthesis
- Prior research experience in catalysis and/or supramolecular chemistry
