Position SummaryAs a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the member’s expectations.
What You’ll Do- Provide member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services.
- Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
- Maintain the sales floor in the Tire and Battery Center in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
- Receive and stock merchandise in the Tire and Battery Center, and organize and maintain the center by following company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
- Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials safely, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Operate hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, process member purchases, and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types.
- Provide products and services to members in accordance with company policies and procedures by assisting with purchasing and service decisions, completing vehicle service requests and tests, operating Tire and Battery Center equipment properly and safely, receiving, storing, and disposing of merchandise and supplies, and completing and maintaining paperwork.
- Maintain and service members’ automobiles by driving cars into and out of the bay area, identifying, notating, and informing members of damage to their vehicles prior to servicing, following company guidelines for tire installation, performing additional automotive services as needed (e.g., repairing or replacing flats, balancing or rotating tires, and testing and installing batteries), and operating computer equipment when processing member services.
- Valid state‑issued driver's license.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Completion of all required job trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.
- Experience in the auto service industry.
- Retail experience.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
