Accounting Assistant

Overview

Boston North Properties is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to oversee daily accounting functions and payroll operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a solid understanding of accounts payable and payroll processes.

• Maintain general ledger and record financial transactions
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Track expenses and ensure proper coding
• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
• Support budgeting and cash flow tracking
• Assist with tax preparation and audits
• Process payroll accurately and on schedule
• Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data
• Ensure compliance with payroll taxes, deductions, and wage laws
• Coordinate payroll approvals with management

• 3+ years of bookkeeping and/or payroll experience. Experience with property management a plus
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
