Ap/Ar Specialist

We are looking for an AP/AR Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing team in Massachusetts. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will help maintain accurate financial records, process transactions efficiently, and contribute to smooth billing and reconciliation activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and ensure timely payment of approved obligations.
• Prepare customer invoices, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support healthy cash flow.
• Reconcile account activity by reviewing statements, researching discrepancies, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate accounting records by updating transaction details and organizing financial documentation.
• Support routine billing operations, including invoice generation, adjustments, and payment application.
• Communicate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to address payment questions and clarify account details.
• Assist with month-end accounting tasks by compiling reports and confirming the accuracy of payable and receivable balances.
