Join our dedicated team at Boston Speech Therapy as a Special Education Teacher! We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. This role offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $70 to $75 per hour. This is a temporary position starting ASAP until the end of the school year.
You must have an MA in Special Education and a valid Massachusetts Special Educators license.
Grade level: 7th grade class.
Your primary responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing specialized instruction, and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students' unique needs
- Conduct assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to support inclusive practices
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members
- Utilize behavioral strategies to promote a positive learning environment
- Master's degree in Special Education
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of teaching methodologies and adaptive strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational experience for all students
- 1099 contract
- $65-75 per hour
