Language Based Learning Disabilities Teacher (0.5 FTE)

Amesbury Public Schools Cashman Elementary School - Amesbury, Massachusetts

Starting Date: Immediately

• Master’s Degree preferred
• Massachusetts teaching Certification/Licensure in Special Education
• Certification in Wilson, Orton Gillingham Instruction, or LiPs training is Preferred.

• Provide direct instruction to students with language-based learning disabilities.
• Use innovative approaches, and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn.
• Deliver consistent instruction in either in-person, hybrid or remote learning environments, as adopted by the district.
• Implement a system of data collection to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet the specific needs of Students with language-based learning disabilities.
• Collaborate with school staff for the purpose of improving the integration of LBLD students into the general education environment.
• Present evidence of student progress toward goals and objectives through routine, written progress-monitoring and formal presentations at IEP meetings
• Additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Director of Student Services.
