- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 1:30pm

I have been instructed to support our Client in recruiting for two Assembly Technicians to join a growing manufacturing business based in Amesbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable company with a strong 3–4 year order book and become part of a young, supportive, and friendly assembly team.
This position would suit candidates with previous assembly or manufacturing experience, particularly those confident using hand tools and working from drawings or build instructions. Full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills within a secure and long-term role.
The RoleWorking within a small manufacturing, warehouse, and stores team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing a variety of mechanical components and products to ensure high quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities- Assembling mechanical parts and components from drawings and build instructions.
- Testing sub-assemblies and finished products in line with test procedures.
- Using hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Carrying out basic fault finding and identifying defects during assembly.
- Ensuring products are manufactured to consistent build quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Completing relevant paperwork and reporting discrepancies where required.
- Supporting production targets and ensuring timelines are achieved.
- Following all company health & safety procedures and manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience within assembly, manufacturing, production, or engineering environments.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within mechanical assembly preferred.
- Confident using hand tools.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings or build instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic fault‑finding skills.
- Some electrical assembly experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above in Maths and English.
- Engineering apprenticeship, BTEC, or relevant qualification advantageous.
