Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Amada Press Brake Set-Up/Operator to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for the set-up, operation, and basic maintenance of Amada press brake machines to produce precision sheet metal parts in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set-Up and Operation
  • Set up Amada press brake machines for production runs using work instructions and blueprints.
  • Select proper tooling and program machine settings to meet part specifications.
  • Adjust and align tooling as needed for optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Production & Quality
  • Operate the press brake to bend, form, and fabricate metal parts to tight tolerances.
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors.
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Documentation
  • Record production data, including quantities, part numbers, and run times.
  • Maintain setup sheets and update job documentation as needed.
  • Maintenance and Safety
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and notify supervisor of mechanical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all company safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Collaboration
  • Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve production or quality issues.
  • Assist with training or mentoring junior operators as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:

    4+ years of experience operating and setting up Amada or similar CNC press brakes (e.g., RG, HFE, HD NT, or HRB series).
  • Skills:

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of sheet metal properties. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and gauges. Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine controls is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
