Tiello is partnered with a nationally recognized Fire Protection contractor in their search for a Sprinkler Service Inspector to support commercial, industrial, and residential service operations throughout the Greater Boston/North Shore market. With more than 100 years of experience in the Fire & Life Safety industry, this organization specializes in fire sprinkler systems, clean agent suppression systems, special hazard protection, inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs while remaining committed to protecting lives and property through exceptional service and technical expertise.

Role

Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience inspecting, testing, servicing, and maintaining commercial fire sprinkler and special hazard fire protection systems. This individual will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, identifying system deficiencies, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining accurate inspection documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, preventative maintenance, and service on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, foam, clean agent, and special hazard fire protection systems.
  • Inspect system components, valves, piping, sprinkler heads, and related equipment to verify proper operation and code compliance.
  • Identify, diagnose, and document deficiencies within fire sprinkler and suppression systems.
  • Educate customers on fire protection system operation, functionality, inspection findings, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Manage daily service schedules while maintaining productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete inspection reports, service documentation, work orders, and all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Ensure all inspections and maintenance activities comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and AHJ requirements.
  • Maintain company vehicles, lifts, testing equipment, and tools in a safe and professional manner.
  • Follow all company safety policies and industry best practices while working in commercial, industrial, residential, and outdoor environments.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and internal team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3+ years of experience inspecting or servicing commercial fire sprinkler systems preferred.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, foam, clean agent, or special hazard fire protection systems.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA codes and Fire & Life Safety industry standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple service calls while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in commercial, industrial, residential, and outdoor environments.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and specialty testing equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
