Become a crucial part of Nova Scotia's Department of Public Works as a Clerk
2. This role includes a variety of accounting and administrative tasks essential for effective office operations.
Under the supervision of the Financial Services Officer, the Clerk 2 will handle accounting documentation, process receipts, and assist with customer inquiries. You will interact daily with the public and support overall departmental workflows while ensuring accurate information is maintained and distributed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer inquiries and assist customers at the front desk
• Process Accounts Payable documents efficiently
• Maintain files and update office manuals regularly
• Track and manage public complaints accurately
• Provide administrative support to the area manager
Requirements:
• Minimum three years' experience in administrative roles
• Exceptional customer service skills are mandatory
• Proficient in various software for administrative tasks
• Preferred: completed business course(s)
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure
