In this essential position, you will facilitate Board meetings, develop strategic agendas, and ensure legal compliance as the primary liaison with the Executive Director. Your understanding of Indigenous governance values will be pivotal in fulfilling the Board's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Chair Board meetings and drive effective discussions
• Ensure compliance with fiduciary and legal duties
• Support the Executive Director through performance evaluations
• Manage risk and ensure financial accountability
• Act as a spokesperson in community and OFIFC engagements
Requirements:
• Preferred experience in governance roles
• Strong facilitation and leadership attributes
• Familiarity with Indigenous governance values
• Commitment to community accountability and engagement
• Ability to promote respectful, inclusive conversations
