A construction site supervisor at TCI is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a construction site for large projects. The Site Supervisor reports directly to the Project Manager. The Site Supervisor is TCI’s primary on site representative for large projects, and is expected to present themselves and communicate with professionalism at all times. The Site Supervisor spends the vast majority of their time on the job site.

The expectation is a site supervisor has only 1 job at a time, and spends roughly 50% to 75% of their time with tool bags on actively completing construction activities, and the remaining time coordinating daily site operations from site.

  Working with the Project Manager to ensure daily and weekly schedules are met.

  Identifying construction issues that require more information, and promptly conveying those issues to the Project Manager.

  Thoroughly understanding the contractual scope of work and promptly alerting the Project Manager of any expected deviation from that scope. Site Supervisors do not have the authority to deviate from the contractual scope without approval from the Project Manager.

  Reading the project job file and using it to assess onsite productivity requirements for each task.

  Site Supervisor will be expected to be actively engaged in construction at least 50%-75% of the time. With the remaining time spent overseeing the construction site activities in compliance with other supervisory tasks listed in this description.

  Site Supervisor to provide material take offs and price verification, to be confirmed and ordered by Project Manager.

  Understanding necessary material approval and allocation timelines to ensure materials are ordered and arrive at site on time. Site supervisors do not have the authority to make specified product substitutions without approval from the Project Manager.
• Construction coordination:
  Managing and coordinating the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel.
• Construction coordination: communicating with the project manager when portions of the project are ready for inspection. Being present and walking through with inspectors during inspections.
• Site preparation:
  Ensuring that the required tools, equipment, signage, manuals, and procedural documentation are on site.
• Health and safety:
  Monitoring health and safety issues, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring all personnel comply with health and safety practices.
• Site condition:
  Maintaining a clean and organized site at all times.

  Making sure all materials on site are securely stored per manufacturer’s specifications, protected from the elements as needed, and stored in a manner that protects them from damage and the elements.
• Employee Training:
  Ensure that all TCI employees on site have the proper training and guidance to complete the tasks they are being asked to perform.
• Quality Control:
  Reading manufacturer's instructions for all materials used on site, instructing TCI employees on proper material installation, conducting post installation verification of installation quality, bringing quality control concerns to the attention of the project manager, and working to rectify any such issues as instructed by the project manager.
