Overview
- Title: Departmental Assistant – Academic Success Assistant (Post Grad Internship)

- Academic Success Assistant duties: meet with an assigned caseload of student-athletes to develop and improve academic skills and contribute to the development and maintenance of objective-based study hall plans.
- Essential Functions: assist student-athletes in setting and tracking manageable weekly objectives; monitor and document weekly progress of the assigned caseload; collaborate with Academic Success staff in strategy and management of student-athlete academic support and objective-based study hall plans; complete end-of-term assessments regarding academic progress; create and facilitate tutoring and Student Learning Assistant workshops; contribute to other services such as Tutoring, Learning Enhancement Program, and Student-Athlete Development;
adhere to NCAA, University, and educational regulations. - Other Functions: performs other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree prior to the start date of appointment; ability to work 15-30 hours per week and willing to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends; understanding of issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in all facets of Microsoft Office; previous work with academically at-risk populations; interest in athletic academic support, higher education, and/or collegiate athletics; previous experience within education (e.g., academic advising, tutoring, teaching) and/or collegiate athletics; experience in collegiate athletics academic support, higher education, teaching, or a related field; familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.
Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion.
Work Schedule and Work ArrangementSunday - Friday. 20 hours per week. Day & Evening shifts.
Salary InformationHourly Rate: $18
