The Amherst Regional Public School District is seeking full time Special Education Paraeducators to provide individualized or small group support to Special Education students who are on an IEP. Beyond providing direct support when needed, this position includes supporting student use of assistive technology (e.g., laptop, adaptive mouse, etc.), implementation of academic lessons to the student(s) under the direction of a special education teacher and service providers, and monitoring for health issues and calling for medical assistance if/when needed.
It may also include attending related service (OT, PT, SLH, etc.) therapy sessions to facilitate carryover of skills from one setting to another.
