ELL Teacher-Middle School; part-time

English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher

Position at Amherst Regional Middle School. This is a half‑time school year position. Bilingual/bi‑cultural applicants are encouraged to apply.

Qualified applicants should possess the following:

• Experience designing and delivering high‑quality, explicit English Language Development instruction to support the rapid acquisition of English proficiency and support access to grade‑level content.
• Effective use of culturally responsive teaching practices to support students socially, emotionally and academically.
• Experience using a variety of assessment methods to make data‑informed instructional decisions that accelerate student growth.
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to work with a diverse population of students within a multicultural school/community.
• Strong positive, interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

All applicants must hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education educator license as an ELL teacher at the appropriate secondary level or be eligible for a one‑year waiver.
