We are looking for a highly skilled Massachusetts LSP to join our Environment and Health department in New England. The role involves managing site investigations, assessments, and remediation of contaminated sites in accordance with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). The successful candidate will provide technical and business leadership, develop and implement remediation plans, manage client relationships, and mentor staff.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Site Investigation and Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive site investigations, collect samples, analyze data, and assess risks.
- Interpret findings and develop remediation strategies.
- Remediation Planning and Implementation
- Design and oversee remediation strategies, including excavation, soil vapor extraction, groundwater treatment, in‑situ bioremediation, or other methods.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and permits during implementation.
- Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as MassDEP to obtain approvals and produce reports.
- Prepare and submit investigation, risk assessment, remedial action, progress, and closure reports.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Client Management and Communication
- Serve as primary contact for clients and stakeholders, providing status updates.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Quality Control and Assurance
- Implement quality control measures for accurate data collection and reporting.
- Conduct audits and reviews to verify compliance with plans and best practices.
- Address deviations promptly.
- Valid Massachusetts LSP license (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in MCP site investigations and remediation.
- Solid understanding of environmental regulations, guidelines, and best practices in Massachusetts.
- Proficiency in data analysis, risk assessment, and modeling.
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of environmental sampling and laboratory analysis methods.
- Familiarity with environmental software and tools used in site investigation and remediation projects.
- Bringing existing clients/projects to Ramboll is preferred.

Base salary range: $136,000 - $221,000 per year. Additional compensation may include bonus, overtime, or other forms. Comprehensive benefits package supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
