Game Presentation Video Board Replay Operator; Freelance

UMass Athletics is seeking an experienced Freelance Game Presentation Replay Operator to help deliver an engaging in-venue experience for NCAA Division I athletic events.

Working under the direction of the Game Presentation Producer, the Replay Operator is responsible for capturing and executing instant replay for the in-venue video board while collaborating with the Video Board Director, Game Presentation team, and Video Production staff. This position plays an important role in creating an exciting atmosphere for thousands of fans throughout the year.

Assignments may include football, men's basketball, women's basketball, hockey, and other home athletic events.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Game Presentation replay system during assigned events.
• Capture, organize, and execute replay content for the video board.
• Coordinate with the Game Presentation Video Board Director regarding replay timing and availability.
• Work directly with the Game Presentation Producer to support the overall in-game presentation.
• Support sponsored replay elements and other Game Presentation features.
• Assist with equipment setup, testing, troubleshooting, and shutdown.
• Maintain professional communication with all Game Presentation personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating replay systems or similar live event production equipment.
• Knowledge of live sports or entertainment production workflows.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced live event environment.
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Previous collegiate athletics, professional sports, or live event production experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule

This is a freelance, per-event position. Most assignments occur during evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on the UMass Athletics home event schedule.

Compensation

Competitive per-event compensation based on experience, technical proficiency, reliability, and assigned responsibilities.
