Float Triage RN

The Float Pool team is a group of employees who are specially trained and readily available to seamlessly assimilate and stabilize clinical operations within our practices. We cover gaps due to unexpected call‑outs, long‑term leaves, planned vacations, and staffing vacancies. We are seeking a per diem RN to pick up shifts Monday through Friday, with flexibility on exact days based on employee availability. In this role, you would be expected to cover various practices across the Pioneer Valley.

We do our best to keep all employees within their preferred geographic regions or specialty areas; however, float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our locations during orientation (for training or precepting) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross‑coverage).

Responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

• Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
• Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post‑procedure care.
• Collaborate closely with health‑care professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

• Associate’s Degree Nursing required;
  Bachelor’s Degree Nursing preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.

• Registered Nurse (RN) – State License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Various issuers preferred.

• Clinical nursing experience 0–1 year required.
• Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1–2 years preferred.
