Senior Consultant - Occupational​/Environmental Health Scientist

Location

Boston, Westford, or Amherst, Massachusetts or Portland, Maine, USA. We prefer to locate this position in Amherst or Westford, Massachusetts and will consider Boston, Massachusetts or Portland, Maine. Ramboll has adopted a hybrid model of work, allowing a combination of remote and in-office engagement.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available for this position.

We invite you to bring your health sciences background into play as you assist our clients in protecting and promoting the health and safety of their employees, customers, and communities through identifying and managing the risks associated with chemical and biological exposures.

• Conduct critical reviews of the epidemiological and/or toxicological literature and draft reports summarizing and synthesizing the results with attention to sources of bias and their potential effects on study results.
• Identify gaps and research needs in the current evidence base for selected topics.
• Accept responsibility for the quality and timeliness of reports, and for adherence to budgetary and other project proposal features.
• Participate in the preparation of proposals, including providing input on work plans and schedules.

• A Master’s degree in epidemiology, toxicology, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience analyzing and interpreting scientific publications, including conducting systematic, critical reviews of the literature.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and excellent time management practices enabling prioritization of multiple, competing project deadlines.
• Attention to detail, combined with understanding of the broader context and purpose.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
• Self-directed initiative to improve and advance technical capabilities and skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and relevant analytical programs.
