Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Electrician position located in Amherst, MA. The Electrician will carry out a variety of tasks, including electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components. Daily responsibilities will include assessing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards, performing preventive maintenance, and working collaboratively with other team members to ensure public infrastructure and facilities operate efficiently and safely.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Electricity and Electrical Work, including wiring, circuits, and power systems
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair of electrical systems and components
- Strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently
- Fundamental knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards
- State electrician license required; additional certifications or advanced training are a plus
- Strong organizational abilities and communication skills
- Experience working in municipal or public sector settings is advantageous
