Machine Opr PR- Amherst Team - 2nd Shift

Starting pay: $19.65/HR

This position is responsible for setting up, monitoring, operating, and disassembling various horizontal wrappers in a frozen food environment while meeting operational efficiency standards and following all safety and food safety policies.

Responsibilities: (Include, but are not limited to the following)

• Operates various wrappers as assigned.
• Works with various types of equipment while following safety requirements for operation.
• Installs and aligns appropriate tools, guides, and stops to set up the machine.
• Follows Process Control Sheets and Manufacturing Instructions to ensure the product meets required specifications.
• Makes manual adjustments to settings as needed, and reports issues in a timely manner.
• Operates equipment throughout the day, including addressing performance issues, loading required materials for operation, and performing necessary checks throughout the day.
• Relieves Assemblers and Suppliers, as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

(The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

• Must be willing and able to lift 2-5lbs regularly throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs infrequently throughout the day.
• Must be willing and able to work in a cold environment (30
  -40°F temperatures).
• Must be willing and able to walk and reach with hands and arms 100% of the time.
• Must be willing and able to use hands and fingers simultaneously to perform repetitive tasks up to 60 times per minute.
• Must be willing and able to stand, reach, bend, and stretch up to 8-10 hours per day.
