Job DescriptionThis position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can worship, teach, learn, pray together, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should
1) Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship, and
2) Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community.
- Assist the Facilities Manager to ensure timely maintenance of facilities using established processes and standards of maintenance, repair, and replacement.
- Provide administrative support to a Facilities Management workgroup.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, process invoices, prepare financial reports, track purchased materials and services, and support and work closely with the Area, Region, and FM group teams.
- Maintain computer databases (purchase & work orders), communicate preventative maintenance schedules, and keep facility records.
- Perform other office and administrative duties, and travel as assigned.
- Two years post–high‑school education.
- Three to five years of diverse clerical experience or equivalent demonstrating computer skills and experience including Windows, Microsoft Applications, and aptitude to learn other software applications as needed.
- Strong communications skills, including professional phone etiquette and effective business writing.
- Basic business accounting skills, including understanding of invoices, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Organizational skills including filing, scheduling, time management, and prioritization.
- Must reside within the FMG boundaries (Idaho Falls, Ammon, Ucon, or Rigby, Idaho).
- Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
- Required: IFMA Training – Essentials of Facility Management to be completed within six months of service.
