The University of Idaho College of Agricultural and Life Sciences invites applicants for a 12‑month, tenure‑track Assistant Professor Research Faculty‑Extension Specialist position in the Department of Plant Sciences in the area of Horticulture.
The position consists of 55% Extension, 40% Research, and 5% University Service and Leadership. It will be available starting in March 2, 2026, with a salary that is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The primary objectives for this role are the development of innovative horticulture‑related extension and research programming that focuses on sustainable and economically viable consumer and commercial horticulture. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively with Extension, academic, and industry partners in the region.
