Associate Operations Specialist – Snake River Investment Counsel

We are a growing, fee-only independent Registered Investment Advisory firm seeking an Associate Operations Specialist to join our team in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This role is based in-office and plays a key part in delivering an exceptional client experience.

The position focuses on providing high-quality client service, supporting and enhancing operational workflows, and maintaining precise, detail-oriented coordination with our custodian, Charles Schwab. This is a dedicated operations role with a long‑term focus on operational excellence, offering the opportunity to grow into a leadership role within operations and compliance. It is not intended as a pathway to an advisory position.

• Answer client phone calls and assist with service requests
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of Charles Schwab account paperwork and transfers
• Schedule and coordinate client meetings
• Assist with administrative tasks related to retirement plans, including 401(k) s and Cash Balance Pension Plans
• Serve as executive assistant to the firm’s founder

• 2‑6 years of experience in financial services
• Post‑secondary education preferred, but not required
• Strong organizational, communication, and attention‑to‑detail skills
• Experience with Schwab Advisor Center and Salesforce preferred
• Currently based in the greater Idaho Falls area or willing to relocate

• Hourly Rate: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience (full‑time, 40 hours per week)
• Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 5% of base compensation, based on individual and firm performance
• SIMPLE IRA with 3% match (eligible after one year of service)
• Paid Time Off: 80 hours annually (equivalent to 2 weeks), plus NYSE‑observed holidays
