Job DescriptionFull‑time position. When a Saturday is worked, you receive a day off during the week.

- Provide exceptional member service: assess needs, advise, and assist with transactions such as opening accounts, servicing existing accounts, and explaining products and services.
- Educate members on options for managing financial transactions using MACU tools, resources, technology and cross‑sell appropriate products and services.
- Maintain focus on increasing member satisfaction and account retention.
- Meet sales and service goals.
- Use lead lists to make outbound outreach to existing members for additional consultation on MACU products and services.
- Resolve member complaints: clarify issue, determine cause, provide best solution, expedite correction, and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Follow up with thank‑you notes and phone calls using the MACU New Member Onboarding approach.
- Maintain cash drawer, initiate wire transfers, cashier's checks, and cash advances.
- Create VISA cards, process IRA transactions, certificates of deposit, and redeem savings bonds.
- Use judgment to place appropriate check holds and issue fee reversals.
- Assist fraud victims by processing fraud disputes.
- Process transactions efficiently according to established policies and procedures.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the branch.
- Responsible for branch security, including vault combinations, security codes, and member information.
- Represent the credit union professionally in the workplace.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Respond timely to email, voicemail, missed calls, and other communication.
- Actively participate in and complete product knowledge courses.
- Travel may be required.
- Comply with all regulations required by law.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to identify lending opportunities and make recommendations.
- Cross‑sell financial services to create exceptional member service.
- Perform financial calculations.
- Communicate effectively and persuasively in written and verbal form.
- Minimum six months of customer service experience; industry experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient computer operating skills; understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- MSR onboarding:
Branch Foundations, Teller Branch Checklist, Products & Services, Teller Follow‑up Training, Computer/Office Equipment Skills.
Physical demands: talk, hear, sit, use hands, reach; stand, walk, kneel, crouch occasionally. Vision: close vision 20 inches or less; distance vision 20 feet or more. Weight: lift up to 10 lbs consistently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Environmental: moderate noise.
