About the roleEvery day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues.
HowYou Will Contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reaction(s) occurring at the facility as per SOPs.
- Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including preparing Center Physician’s standing orders and coordinating donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs with unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues regarding donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and assess need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate‑level recognition from a nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Location and Wage- Location:
USA – – Ammon - U.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44
