Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is looking for a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager or Assistant Manager and provides medical support under the guidance of the Center Physician.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self‑exclusion.
- Conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician's standing orders and facilitating donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical concerns and guidance concerning donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents, evaluating further evaluation needs by occupational health/ER.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate-level recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationU.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 - $33.44. Wages are based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
