Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team in Walmart. The role involves maintaining our facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills, supporting Stores and store associates via the work order management system, and responding to emergency maintenance calls. You will be part of a dynamic, fast‑paced environment that values innovation, teamwork, and excellence.

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass an MVR
• Vocational or technical certification plus 5 years experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade (or 7 years in any of those trades)
• 1 year of experience using intermediate‑level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using various craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment)
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely

• Individual compensation based on skill set, experience, job offer level, qualifications and other factors
• Additional bonus available to be disclosed during interview
• Hourly wage: $21.00–$40.00; actual rate will meet or exceed local minimum wage. Additional premiums up to $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
