As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at a local retail store, you will support and oversee repair of Walmart facilities refrigeration and HVAC equipment. You will utilize commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, using hand tools, digital and power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights (ladder use).

• 10 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• High school diploma or equivalent and 18 years or older.

• 3-6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman certification where required.
• Experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid driver’s license and clean commercial driving record.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with glycol and CO2 systems.
