The GCMS (Global Compliance Management Services) practice is at the heart of the tax advisory and compliance practice and as part of the TMC (Tax Management Consulting, internationally known as ‘Tax Reimagined’) team is involved with coordinating, standardizing and transforming compliance processes for our clients. As department, we help clients with the set up of their tax function and strategy around global tax compliance.

On a daily basis, we work together with 157 local KPMG member firms to support our clients across the globe. Our network enables us to achieve more standardization and more insight into the compliance processes. We identify opportunities for optimizing processes and provide clients with input with regard to large transformation projects. In that respect we work closely with our colleagues in the TMC team, our colleagues in other specializations and with KPMG global.

The TMC team is made up of 25 colleagues, including the 14 members in the GCMS practice, spread across our offices in Amstelveen, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. The team environment is informal and characterized by collegiality and diversity.

As Tax Consultant GCMS you will work closely with the other TMC team members, and you will manage junior consultants and client administrators. You will also regularly work together with other colleagues at Meijburg & Co and KPMG Global. You will be responsible for managing various projects and your work will mainly consist of coordinating the global compliance processes of clients, identifying opportunities for process optimization and using our KPMG Digital Gateway platform.

You will be the designated contact for the client and your colleagues from other countries and you will bring structure to a world of very different deadlines and rules. No two days are the same and that makes this role extra challenging.

• Setting up engagements / supervising transitions at new clients;
• Coordinating processes, both compliance and administrative;
• Managing (international) colleagues in the area of tax returns and financial statements;
• Reviewing simple tax returns and tax calculations;
• Liaising with clients and maintaining contact in this respect (both internal and external);
• Setting up and working with KPMG Digital Gateway (technological support for the GCMS practice);
• Identifying opportunities for clients to optimize their processes;
• Providing general support to colleagues within the GCMS, TMC and tax advisory practice.
