Senior VC Analyst @ SHIFT Invest

We are one of the largest impact venture capital funds in the Netherlands, founded in 2009. Together with passionate entrepreneurs, we fight climate change, the depletion of natural resources and the loss of biodiversity. We invest in four domains: food and agriculture, energy, industry and mobility.

Every year we analyze almost 1,000 innovative and impactful startups and work closely with the entrepreneurs of the companies in our portfolio. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Sr Investment Analyst / Jr. Associate with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

As Investment Analyst/Associate you will play a crucial role in our investment team. You will be involved in the entire investment process, from deal sourcing and strategic analysis to due diligence and value creation for portfolio companies. You will work directly with entrepreneurs and our broad network of industry experts, investors and fellow entrepreneurs.

Your responsibilities include:

• Identify and analyze investment opportunities
• Perform commercial, strategic, financial and impact analyses
• Support due diligence processes
• Maintain relationships with startups, scale-ups and investors
• Contribute to general matters such as improving/automating the way of working, events, supervising interns, communication, etc.

We are looking for an analytical and enterprising colleague who recognizes themselves in the following profile, starting in April/May:

• Investment Analyst / Associate | Available 40 hours per week | Hybrid and office based in Amstelveen
• Minimum university degree, preferably a relevant university degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in strategy consulting, venture capital, private equity or M&A
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Independent, proactive, eye for detail and a results-oriented mindset
• Affinity with entrepreneurs / innovative start-ups and scale-ups
• Affinity with impact investing and sustainability (climate, nature, and biodiversity)
• Pre: knowledge of or affinity with our 4 domains. You will start in the Mobility domain, where you will collaborate a lot with our mobility partners Schiphol, KLM, NS and the Dutch technical universities
