Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Lead (Finance Transformation Office)

Amsterdam, Netherlands;
Prague, Czech Republic

If you constantly look at inefficient workflows and think, “This shouldn’t be so hard,” you’ll fit right in here. We are looking for a Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Lead to drive operational excellence across our Finance Transformation Office.

About Jet Brains

We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale.

What you’ll do

Our Finance Transformation Office exists to ensure our financial systems, strategic projects, and change initiatives deliver real business value.

We need someone who can lead process excellence for core change initiatives and establish continuous improvement once those projects go live. You will take ownership of the site's continuous improvement strategy and oversee the operations incidents register – making sure finance-related incidents across projects are structured, prioritized, and solved at the root cause. Working closely with business and technical leaders, you’ll help build lasting organizational capabilities, remove waste, and embed Lean principles into how we work.

Day

to day, you will:
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute process improvements that eliminate waste and boost effectiveness.
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and structured problem-solving workshops across finance transformation initiatives.
  • Manage and deliver a continuous improvement portfolio in line with strategic priorities.
  • Own the operations incidents register, ensuring issues are structured, prioritized, and assigned clear resolution paths.
  • Track dependencies between the finance portfolio and incident registers to recommend systemic improvements.
  • Implement visual management, performance boards, tiered accountability, and standard work.
  • Develop performance metrics and dashboards to report on benefits realization, risks, and portfolio health.
  • Coach and mentor business and operational leaders in Lean tools and continuous improvement practices.
  • Support operational teams in new-demand analysis and in building productive, high-quality business cases.
  • Establish measures and governance to ensure sustainable benefits realisation from improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring:
  • A focus on outcomes and long-term value over quick fixes.
  • Comfort working close to the problem and taking full ownership of your decisions.
  • Clear, candid communication skills that build trust with technical and business stakeholders alike.
  • The curiosity to ask the right questions before trying to solve a problem.
  • The ability to influence, guide, and lead change across teams without relying on direct authority.
  • A habit of leaving processes cleaner, simpler, and more efficient than you found them.
What you’ll need:
  • The demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives using Lean / Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Deep expertise in core Lean tools, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proven experience managing continuous improvement portfolios and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • A background in developing performance metrics, dashboards, and governance frameworks to track process improvements.
  • A track record of coaching and mentoring leaders and teams to build organizational Lean capability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills in complex, evolving environments.
  • Practical familiarity with finance processes or transformation environments.
What success looks like

In this role, success means embedding operational discipline and Lean thinking into the Finance Transformation Office. You will have built a transparent continuous improvement portfolio and a well‑managed incident register that resolves root causes rather than symptoms. Teams will actively seek out your guidance, processes will be simplified and standardized, and…
