Visual Design & Branding Intern

At BYBORRE we're looking for a Visual Design & Branding Intern to join our team!

As Visual Design & Branding Intern, you will focus on bringing the BYBORRE® brand to life visually. Guided by our Brand & Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in visual design and brand identity building, while gaining invaluable experience in conceptualising and executing visual assets that resonate with the BYBORRE® audience.

The Visual Design & Branding internship is a 6-month internship position for talents to gain working experience in the Branding and graphic design fields. You will be part of our Commercial team, reporting to the Brand & Marketing Manager. Growing your knowledge about visual design, and brand identity building, you will get the opportunity to experience working in our fast-moving textile innovation studio and become part of something bigger.

• Be part of a close-knit, dynamic and international team in Amsterdam
• Mix of experts in different fields (knit engineers, yarn specialists, in-house digital team and more)

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

• Assist in the production of brand assets for all brand touch points – including social media visuals and promotional material (marketing) learning resources (customer success), outreach collateral (sales) and more.
• Collaborate with Brand & Marketing to conceptualise and design visually compelling content for various online channels.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of our brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all touch points.
• Participate in design and brainstorming sessions to refine concepts and elevate the quality of our visual content.
• Assist in the production of other visual branding elements, including photo and video shoots, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines and objectives.

• Gain practical experience in graphic design principles, including layout, typography, and colour theory.
• Deepen your understanding of branding strategies and how visual elements contribute to brand perception and recognition.
• Refine your technical skills in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Figma.
• Develop versatility in working with different mediums to create cohesive visual narratives while adapting our brand style and voice across various formats.
• Develop your ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment, receiving feedback and iterating on designs to achieve optimal results.

What we're looking for in the ideal candidate. Not all of these are must haves, so please take the leap to get in touch even if you don't feel you meet all criteria.

• HBO or WO-level education in Graphic Design, Digital Design or Branding
• Passionate about contemporary and visual communication and the Branding landscape
• Proficient in Adobe programs (Illustrator, in Design, Photoshop).
• Proficient in English language (spoken and written).
• Strong work ethic, endless curiosity, self-starting attitude and resourcefulness.
• Preferably available from the 1st of July for a period of 6 months (flexible start date).

This internship is intended for people who are currently studying or who have recently graduated. We can only accept applications from applicants with a passport from the EU/EEA & Switzerland, or people who have a Dutch study-, arbeid vrij toegestaan-, or job-seeking year residence permit.
