Amsterdam, Rotterdam, hybrid – the role is based in the Netherlands and requires working from an Amsterdam or Rotterdam office at least two days per week.
Job PurposeAs a Junior / Midweight Brand Designer, you will play an important role in the visual development and day‑to‑day execution of the DEPT brand. You will work closely with marketing and creative teams to design assets across digital, social, motion, editorial, presentation, event, and campaign touchpoints.
What You’ll Do- Create compelling visual assets across social media, campaigns, presentations, events, editorial content, internal communications, and digital platforms.
- Help evolve and maintain the DEPT visual identity across global touch points while working within our brand system.
- Translate creative concepts into clear, high‑quality design executions.
- Produce both static and motion design deliverables as required.
- Contribute to creative brainstorms, campaign concepts, and design explorations.
- Prepare files and assets for digital, print, and production purposes.
- Maintain and organize templates, design systems, and shared creative resources.
- Stay up to date with design, motion, AI, culture, and digital trends, bringing new ideas and inspiration into the team.
- Present work confidently, incorporating feedback and iteration.
- 1–4 years of experience in a brand, agency, or in‑house creative environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing branding, digital design, social, and campaign work.
- A sharp eye for typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Confidence working across Adobe Creative Suite (mandatory), Figma, and Google Workspace.
- Motion design skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar) are a strong plus.
- Experience designing for digital‑first brands and social platforms.
- Strong plus if experienced in delivering print assets and preparing designs for physical production.
- Ability to work across multiple projects while staying organized and detail‑oriented.
- A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow.
- Curiosity about emerging creative technologies and active experimentation with AI tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving creative environment.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
- Based in the Netherlands and available to work from our Amsterdam or Rotterdam office at least 2 days per week.
