Internship A&R

About the role

As a A&R intern you are part of the A&R team. You work closely with, among others, the Co-Heads of A&R, the A&R managers (both from the Warner Music Benelux team and the Warner Chappell Music Holland team) and other creative teams. We are looking for a creative and productive person with a strong interest in and knowledge of music, who wants to take A&R to the next level!

• Listen to demos and feedback on songwriting, music production, mix and master;
• Work on scouting upcoming talent;
• Support in A&R coordination;
• Support organizing writing sessions and camps together with Warner Chappell Music;
• Participate in creative thinking and brainstorms within the A&R team;
• Find your way into the artist and creative (producers and writers) community;
• Visit live shows to support artists on the WMG roster.

• Are studying at an University of Applied Sciences (HBO) or MBO;
• Write and speak fluent Dutch and English
  ;
• Have knowledge of musical references; either different genres or you are an expert in a particular genre;
• Preferably have a network within the artist community;
• Are available for five months, five days a week (fulltime);
• Have in depth knowledge or a strong interest in creative direction; songwriting, music production in different musical styles;
• Have an interest in musical history and references; if we understand the past we might know something about the future;
• Know how to work with artists and their teams;
• Know the trends in music and on social media (Tik Tok, Instagram);
• Are in it for the music, not the parties.
