CBRE IA&R is an independent business line within CBRE, fully dedicated to real estate accounting and controlling. Our clients are leading real estate investors with diversified portfolios across all asset classes.
The Investment Oversight team focuses on controlling investment properties and their underlying entities. We provide advisory services and are responsible for financial reporting, acting as a key liaison between asset managers, property managers, and CFOs.
Globally, we employ over 2,250 finance professionals managing more than $120 billion in real estate funds, making us the largest combined real estate and fund accounting organization worldwide.
Your Role &Key Responsibilities
- Managing the financial administration of real estate investment structures
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Acting as the main point of contact for fund accounting teams and portfolio managers
- Supporting the setup of real estate entities and overseeing their financial records
- Coordinating with external advisors (auditors, tax advisors, and accounting teams)
- Providing support on tax and legal matters in collaboration with specialists
- Reviewing financial statements and reports prepared by accounting teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with complex accounting and financial issues
- Leading budgeting processes and coordinating information flows between stakeholders
- Participating in international project teams
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or audit (ideally within a Big Four firm)
- Experience in real estate companies or real estate investment funds is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting and tax regulations
- Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRSli>
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial information
- Experience with accounting and financial systems
- Confident, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Fluent in both English and Dutch (written and spoken) is preferable
