Senior Financial Controller

An established name in security printing for banknotes, stamps, certificates and brand protection, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Financial Controller to lead its accounting team in the Amsterdam region.

As the most senior of three members in our client’s finance team, the appointed Senior Financial Controller will:

• Provide strategic financial advice to the Managing Director of the company.
• Deliver the annual statutory audit of group entities.
• Lead the monthly compilation of group management accounts.
• Optimize strategy and implement procedures and controls.
• Control month-end reconciliations, processes, and procedures.
• Analyse margin, with supporting financial commentary.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage cash flow, payment approval, credit control and cost control.
• Provide commercial support to pricing and tender submissions.
• Appraise and manage the development of finance team members.
• Supervise the payroll function and coordinate pension schemes / HR systems.
• Oversee all local statutory tax filings, working with outside experts.
• Provide insight into production cost structures, cost allocations, cost price calculations and quoted commercial sales prices.
• Liaise with head office finance teams overseas.

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, FCA or equivalent) with a minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with an audit background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch AND English
• The ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance employees.
• Advanced knowledge of MS365 software and financial packages
• The ability to proactively spot problems, identify potential efficiencies, and suggest improvements.
