Department Overview

The Dealing department is responsible for executing client transactions across FX spot, forwards, swaps, and options. Dealing also plays a key role in offering the firm's full product suite, including trade finance solutions and multi-currency accounts. It provides strategic FX risk management solutions to clients, helping them mitigate currency exposure and optimise their international payment flows. Beyond that, the department looks at crystallising potential upside opportunities through suitable structures.

Overview

The Head of Options Dealing is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the firm's FX options function, ensuring optimal execution, risk management, and product innovation. This role requires a deep understanding of structuring and pricing options and hedging strategies, as well as the ability to drive revenue growth through structured FX solutions. A key focus of this role will be on enhancing the options product suite and driving great client engagement in options dealing.

Additionally, the Head of Options Dealing will be accountable for team performance, ensuring strong revenue contribution and the development of the dealing team’s options knowledge through training programmes.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Execute client trades, ensuring best execution practices and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Dealing risk, exposure, and liquidity across multiple FX products, including spot, forwards, swaps, and options.
  • Optimise pricing strategies in collaboration with liquidity providers to maintain execution quality.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of global market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events, providing timely insights on their impact on FX markets and client exposure.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, fostering strong relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and proactive engagement in FX risk management strategies.
  • Provide exceptional level of client service, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and the highest standards of execution and risk management support.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth end‑to‑end execution and operations, such as monitoring client dealing activity, approving new client credit facilities, ensuring strong risk mitigation and management strategies, amongst others.
Key Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience working at a senior level within a commercial environment and in a regulated investment firm; strong track record working in FX options dealing, proving market expertise; able to demonstrate a clear understanding of risk management and compliance within a regulated environment; demonstrate strong strategic and innovative thinking in structuring client solutions; strong knowledge of the regulatory environment in which an FX firm operates;

excellent leadership skills, proving to lead by example, anticipating issues and risks, and building credibility in dealing with clients and colleagues in complex and multicultural environments; extensive knowledge of FX MiFID products.

  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Databases – FXDB (In House)
  • Bloomberg Trading systems (Barx, Arena, GS Portal, Fenics)
  • HR Systems – Workday
Languages
  • High standard of oral & written English mandatory.
  • Fluency in other European languages (e.g. Spanish, Dutch, French, Luxembourgish, etc.) desirable.
