What

you’ll do
  • Leading the following functions on a group level: consolidation and group control (containing technical accounting and reporting)
  • Responsible for people management and team development (approx. 5 FTE)
  • Responsible for establishing, implementing and monitoring policy around consolidation, accounting and reporting
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close reporting process for the group, working closely with the appropriate stakeholders and specialists (local finance teams, FP&A, tax, valuation)
  • Lead for the process around the consolidated annual report including the related compliance obligations (i.e. filing, audit)
  • Lead the statutory audit preparation of corporate entities to ensure timely filing and quality assurance
  • Support the group finance processing operation, driving efficiency through process improvement and standardisation. This includes the monitoring of internal controls applicable to the group control team
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data on the chosen IT platforms. Identify, monitor and resolve data discrepancies and anomalies in source documents in collaboration with relevant teams and IT vendors
  • Participate as a stakeholder or lead special projects in support of other company departments and company initiatives in relation to consolidation, technical accounting and financial reporting
What you’ll bring
  • Leadership skills in an organisation within a fast paced and ever changing environment
  • Solid accounting, reporting, internal control and corporate finance skills
  • Affinity with data, systems (design and implementation)
  • Understanding of and ability to implement the internal control environment typical to a finance organisation and reporting and the elements of an effective control measure for a service project organisation
  • Extensive knowledge of a statutory reporting process and consolidated annual reporting process
  • Understanding of consolidation and reporting software systems, as well as local financial administration systems
  • Understanding of primary statements and disclosure requirements under IFRS and NL law
  • Lead team members with a keen interest in developing their skills and maintain a trusting team environment
  • Ability (and willingness) to handle peaks and down time during the closing cycles
  • Clear communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner and identify/ present complex problems and matching solutions
  • Solid project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Predict and implement what the company will need in order to facilitate the growth in alignment with the corporate strategy
  • Constructive cooperation with other disciplines and non-financials
