Financial Administrator | ED&F Man Liquid Products | Amsterdam, The Netherlands

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Financial Administrator to work in a truly global environment reporting to one of the Financial Controllers in our Amsterdam team. The role will work as part of a team responsible for performing general book-keeping and financial accounting tasks in accordance with financial accounting principles and group reporting requirements.

ED&F Man Liquid Products Division is the leading global supplier in molasses, molasses blends and related liquid products as well as dry products for (mainly) the animal feed industry. We are a pioneer as well as a trader in liquid agricultural by-and- co-products. We offer expertise in animal nutrition and feed dispense technology to farmers. We work closely with manufacturers, such as rum and yeast producers, to provide quality products from sustainable sources.

Our capability includes sourcing, shipping, storage and distribution of molasses, molasses blends and other sugar co-products, as well as vegetable and fish oils.

• Maintain the day-to-day accounts and preparation for month end close.
• Prepare monthly financial performances and quantitative management information.
• Perform credit control and debt collection.
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable (AR/AP).
• Manage online banking including online payments and transfers.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Credit card control and reporting (experience with SRXP, Concur is helpful).

• Vocational education degree (minimum) in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in a similar environment.
• Proven understanding of accounting principles.
• Specific knowledge of finance software and financial reporting systems.
• A strong focus on performance; sets high standards, results orientated and able to maintain performance under pressure.
• Fluent Dutch speaker and fluency in business English.
• Determined, resilient and eager to join the ED&F Man business.
• High level of integrity, flexibility, ability to work under pressure and self-reflection are key attributes to perform this role.
