International Accounting Analyst

Overview

The International Accounting Analyst is responsible for key accounting activities and process improvements that support the operations. This role will perform activities and projects that cover all aspects of the month-end close process. In addition, the role requires strong communication skills to keep remote teams and members of management aligned on status. This position requires broad experience in accounting, a B.S. in Accounting and requires only general supervision and direction.

• Perform assigned month-end functions, including journal entries and account analysis within the 5
  -day close process.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations within the timeline outlined by the Corporate Controller at the beginning of each fiscal year. Follow-up and investigate any abnormalities or unexplained variances within the following month.
• Monitor spend versus budget, working with local leadership and providing recommendations for adjustments in spending and/or changes to annual budget.
• Act as a trusted advisor and approver for matters related to legal, compliance, treasury, outgoing cash flow, payroll, and other related matters.
• Review trial balances and financial information for reasonableness.
• Provide budget to actual comparison and analysis for budget owners. Coordinate annual plan and updates in conjunction with local executive team and FP&A counterparts.
• Assist the local Tax analyst with information necessary to complete compliance reports, returns, inquiries, etc.
• Responsible for various year-end audit work papers, inquiries, reconciliations, and ad hoc requests within the required timelines.
• Work closely with other members of the Finance team and other support groups to meet timelines, budget objectives, and projects including system upgrades and enhancements.
• Various special projects, which may require direct communication with top management.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Degree minimum:
  Bachelor’s degree
• Specific concentration:
  Accounting
• Experience level: 3-5 years experience

• Advanced Excel – Pivot tables, vlookups, filters

• Ability to communicate effectively with top management.
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Oracle and/or Hyperion experience
• Time Management & Organizational skills
