Role

Quantitative Research Internship (up to six months, full‑time) at Northern Trust Asset Management.

• Conduct state‑of‑the‑art quantitative research in areas such as machine learning, factor investing, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, and sustainability experts on research projects.
• Communicate findings through clear written and oral presentations.

• Current Master’s or Ph.D. student with a strong background in quantitative finance, economics, computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong analytical skills and independence.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Entitled or possessing a permit to undertake an internship in the Netherlands.

Compensation package includes reimbursement of expenses and the opportunity to combine the internship with a master’s thesis for a fixed period of six months.
