Job description The Team

We are looking for a highly skilled EMEA Tax Specialist to join our dynamic tax team supporting a diverse and international business environment across the EMEA region.

As part of the Hitachi Digital Tax Team
, you will join a global function that supports the Digital Infrastructure, Digital Services, and Hitachi Vantara businesses. The EMEA Tax team is made up of experienced tax professionals located across multiple countries and led by the EMEA Tax Director based in the Netherlands. Working collaboratively across geographies and business units, the team provides tax compliance, reporting, advisory, and strategic tax support, helping the organization navigate an increasingly complex international tax landscape.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly visible team that partners closely with Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders across the region.

The Role

As an EMEA Tax Specialist, you will manage a broad range of direct tax matters across multiple EMEA countries, with a particular focus on Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Transfer Pricing (TP) and tax provisioning. You will ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations while supporting tax reporting processes, preparation and review of tax filings, calculation of tax liabilities, and maintenance of accurate tax records.

In this role, you will conduct tax research and analysis, assess the impact of changing regulations, and identify opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation. You will also support tax audits, tax structuring initiatives, and business projects.

Acting as a trusted tax advisor, you will collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations teams across the region. You will also manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. As a recognized subject matter expert, you will independently manage complex tax matters, drive projects with minimal supervision, and provide guidance to less experienced team members when required.

What

You'll Bring
  • University degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 7–12 years of experience in international taxation, ideally combining Big Four and in-house corporate tax experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Transfer Pricing (TP), tax provisioning, and DAC6 requirements.

  • Experience managing tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Solid understanding of international tax principles and regulations within the EMEA region.

  • Strong business acumen and an outcome-oriented approach to problem solving.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and risk assessment skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to business leaders.

  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage.

  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
